Returns & Exchanges

At Basswood Lane, we strive to deliver premium furniture and home goods that meet your expectations. Due to the nature of our curated and made-to-order catalog, we offer a limited return and exchange policy designed to be clear, fair, and aligned with today’s best practices.

Return Eligibility

  • Standard Items: Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery for eligible, non-customized items.
  • Custom, Made-to-Order, or Final Sale Items: These are non-refundable and not eligible for exchange, as they are made specifically for you.
  • Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, and in resaleable condition.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like to receive another item, please initiate a return (if eligible), and place a new order separately.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Customized or made-to-order products
  • Items marked “Final Sale”
  • Opened or assembled furniture
  • Items damaged due to misuse or improper handling
  • Delivery and shipping charges

Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or defective, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery by sending clear photos and your order number to support@basswoodlane.com. We’ll work with the vendor or manufacturer to provide a replacement part or, in some cases, a full replacement.

We may require:

  • Photos of the damaged item
  • Packaging photos
  • A description of the issue

Return Process

  1. Submit a Return Request by contacting support@basswoodlane.com with your order number and reason.
  2. If approved, we’ll issue a Return Authorization (RA) and instructions.
  3. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item is damaged or defective.
  4. Once we receive and inspect the item, refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 7-10 business days.

Additional Notes

  • Returns without prior authorization will not be accepted.
  • Because we are a marketplace, some returns may require coordination with the original vendor, which may affect processing time.
  • We reserve the right to refuse a return that does not meet our return conditions.
